graphitegrip Opened it #1
Rebuilt my profile last month and went precise with the tags. Before, I had one broad tag and a friendly bio. Decent match rate, lots of chats that went nowhere because we wanted different things. After, full accurate tag stack, specific, no ambiguity. Matches dropped to a trickle.
The engineer in me says the filter is working, fewer false positives. The rest of me watches the trickle and wonders if a tag list with no warmth around it reads like a compliance document. Same me, same photos, same bio text below, but the top of the profile went from person to requirements.
Did I overtune it? For people who went specific with tags, did your volume drop, and was the remainder actually better? Or is there a middle setting, fewer tags and the bio carries the detail? I can’t tell if I built a better filter or a wall.
