There is nobody in my life I can ask about this, which is why I am here
- Looking for
- a plain conversation with somebody who has no stake in my answer
- Experience
- None. One profile, made in June, and this post.
- Around
- the north shore, Sydney
There is not one person in my life I could ask about any of this. Not a friend, not a sibling, not the counsellor I saw for a year about something else entirely. That is the reason I am on an app rather than talking to somebody who knows me, and I think it is probably the reason a lot of people are here, though nobody writes it down.
Forty five, the north shore, married for a long time and now not, no experience of anything in this world. What I have is a lot of thinking and a complete absence of anybody to test it against. Every question I have would change how somebody I know sees me, permanently, and I am not willing to spend that yet.
So what I want is a conversation with somebody who has no stake in my answer. Someone who has been doing this for years, who will not be shocked, and who will tell me plainly what is ordinary and what is not.
I am not asking for a relationship. I am asking for the thing you would get in half an hour with a person who knew, if such a person existed in my life.
Not looking to meet. Not looking for anybody who wants to be the one who introduces me to anything. And not looking for a person who will tell me what I obviously am, since three have already tried and all three said something different.
