A relative came up in my queue and neither of us has ever mentioned it

Looking for
somebody outside the circle of people I see at family things
Experience
Eight years, three arrangements, two of them long.
Around
the east end, Glasgow

In November the app showed me a cousin. Not a distant one. Somebody I see three or four times a year and like. I closed it so fast I do not know whether it had already shown me to her, and I have thought about it every time I have seen her since.

Nothing happened, nothing is going to, and I am fairly sure we have both worked out that the other knows. It has rearranged how I use this thing entirely. I had been treating a phone as private, and it is not private, it is a window onto everybody within a few miles, some of whom are at your mother's table at new year.

Thirty seven, the east end, switch, eight years in.

What I want has not changed: an ongoing arrangement with a shape, running both ways in time, planned rather than improvised. What has changed is that I would like that person to be at least one social step away from everybody I am related to, which I am aware makes the search harder in a city this size.

Not looking for anybody who thinks discretion means shame. I am fine with myself, I am simply not discussing it at a family lunch. Not looking to be told I am overthinking it.

What to have sorted before you reply

Which direction is on the table this month is not in the post, and asking flat out reads badly. That takes a conversation, and a conversation needs a room you can walk out of.
