An empty bio is a decision. I understand all the reasons for it, discretion chief among them, and I still will not open a conversation with one, because there is nothing to open it about. What am I meant to say. Something about a photograph, which is exactly the sort of message everybody on this board complains about receiving.
Four sentences is enough. What you want, what you do not, roughly what your week looks like, and one thing that is true and slightly awkward. That takes five minutes and it changes everything about who writes to you and what they say.
Forty one, the city centre, dominant, ten years in.
I say this as somebody whose own profile is deliberately plain: no face, one photograph, and a paragraph that has done all of the work for four years. Every arrangement I have had came from somebody reading it and answering the specific thing in it. There is one exception and I will admit to it. If a profile has nothing written but has clearly been made by somebody who is frightened of being recognised, which you can usually tell from what they have cropped, I will sometimes write anyway. That has worked exactly once in ten years.
What I want is a submissive who wants ongoing structure, with terms agreed properly and a weekly rhythm. Not looking for anybody who wants to be talked into it. Not looking for a person who thinks the writing is the unimportant part of any of this.
