I am new and I would rather not learn this from somebody else who is new

Almost everybody who has written to me is also new. That surprised me. I had assumed a board like this would be mostly people who had been doing it for years, and instead I keep finding myself in conversations where neither of us knows anything and we are both being encouraging about it.
I do not think two beginners is a good idea. Not because anybody would mean harm, but because the whole safety of this appears to rest on somebody knowing what they are doing, and if neither of us does then the only thing keeping it sensible is luck.
Thirty two, the east end, no experience at all.
So I am looking for somebody who has been at it a long time, is entirely unromantic about my inexperience, and is willing to explain rather than demonstrate. I am not asking to be taken on. I am asking to be told things.
Not looking for anybody who is excited that I am new, which is a tell I have got quick at spotting. Not looking to be somebody's first either. Not looking for a person who says everyone learns together, because I have now heard that from three people and none of them meant it.
