My question is how many hours a week this actually takes
- Looking for
- a practical answer from somebody who has been doing this for years
- Experience
- None. Two months of asking questions nobody wants to answer.
- Around
- Noord, Amsterdam
My question is not what any of it feels like. My question is how much of a week it takes. Hours. Whether it is a fixed evening or something threaded through every day. Whether people plan a month ahead or a Tuesday ahead. Whether it collapses when work gets busy, and what people do when it does.
Nobody wants to answer this. Every conversation I have had warms up nicely and then cools the moment I ask something that sounds like a timetable. I understand why. It is an unromantic question and I am a stranger who has done nothing. But I cannot evaluate something on accounts that only describe the good half, and I have read a great deal of the good half.
Thirty three, Noord, no experience at all. I have a demanding job and I am trying to work out honestly whether this is compatible with my life or whether I would be signing up to disappoint somebody.
What I want is one or two practical conversations. That is genuinely the entire ask and I have nothing to offer in return except attention and discretion.
Not looking to meet anybody. Not looking to be reassured. Not looking for a person who tells me it takes whatever you give it, which is what I was told twice and is not an answer.
