Small thing, big result, and I want to know if it is real or a coincidence.
I have had the same four photos up since January. Main one was the best photo of me that exists, taken by an actual photographer for something work related, very good light, I look competent and slightly serious.
Last week I moved that one to third and put a much scruffier photo first. It is me on a friend’s sofa mid laugh, bad light, wearing something I would not have chosen, and you can see about half of somebody else’s arm.
Since then: roughly three times the likes, and, more to the point, four conversations started by other people, which is more than the previous two months combined.
Same photos. Same bio. Same me. Just a different one at the front.
Has anyone else tested this properly? And is there a rule to it, because my instinct was that the best photo goes first and my instinct appears to have been costing me a lot.
