minutehand Opened it #1
Bit of an odd one. Met someone from the app, we have now had two dates, both good. Coffee first, then a long walk and something to eat last weekend. Genuinely enjoying her company.
Here is the thing though. Neither of us has said one word about anything to do with why we were on that particular app. It is all in both our profiles, in reasonable detail. We both read them. And in about seven hours of being in the same place as each other it has not come up once.
I do not know whether that is good, in the sense that we are getting on as people first, or whether we are both waiting for the other one to raise it and will be doing so until roughly Christmas.
There is also a version where I bring it up and it turns out the profile was aspirational and this is now an ordinary dating situation, which would be fine but I would like to know.
How does this normally go? Is there a point where somebody has to say it out loud, and how do you do that over lunch without it landing like an agenda item?
