Experiment report, since a few threads here have wondered about it.

Three weeks ago I deleted my account entirely and made a new one from scratch. Same photos, near enough the same bio, same phone. The theory was that the app had quietly buried me and a fresh start would put me back in circulation.

Week one was genuinely different. Loads more views, four likes in the first two days, two conversations started by other people, which basically never happens to me. I was ready to come here and declare it a life hack.

Week two it went flat. Week three it is exactly where it was before, maybe slightly worse. Meanwhile I have lost the three chats I had going, one of which was actually promising, and I have no way to reach that person now because our only connection was a conversation I deleted.

So the honest score: a short burst of attention, one real loss, and no lasting change. Has anyone had a different result? And does anyone actually understand what the burst is, or do we all just describe it and shrug?

What the playbook says about this

Everything on this board is about the app itself rather than the people in it: what a badge is actually checking, what the queue does to your morning, and why the door back in is never locked. A good share of it turns out to be about which app you picked.
