Nobody I know can host, and there is no field for that anywhere

Posted as hosting_question_two, 9 September 2026

Looking for
somebody realistic about where any of this would actually happen
Experience
Two years, several conversations, one short dynamic.
Around
the inner west, Sydney

The question always arrives in message two and there is never a good answer to it. I share with three people. The lease has my name on it alongside theirs, the walls are plasterboard, and one of them works from the kitchen table every day of the week. So no, and I have stopped apologising for it in the same breath.

What surprises me is that the app has a field for height, for star sign, for whether I drink, and nothing at all for the single practical fact that decides whether two people ever meet in this city. Half the conversations I have had ended at exactly this point, politely, after both of us had already invested a fortnight.

Twenty five, inner west, submissive, two years in. So I now ask it myself, early and cheerfully, before anybody has got attached to a conversation. It has cost me matches. It has saved me months.

What I want is a dominant who has thought about the logistics and is not offended by being asked. A great deal of what I want does not need a private room at all. Rules, reporting, being held to things, being corrected. The rest can wait until somebody has an answer.

Not looking for anybody who suggests I simply find a different flat, which is advice I have been given twice. Not looking for a person who wants the whole thing arranged before we have spoken out loud. And not looking to be somebody's problem to solve.
