I downloaded this in May and I have not swiped on anybody yet
- Looking for
- conversation with somebody who will not be in a hurry
- Experience
- None. Two months of reading and no messages sent.
- Around
- the inner city, Sydney
I installed this in May and I have not swiped on a single person. I open it, I read profiles for twenty minutes, I close it. I have done that perhaps forty times now. It is not fear exactly, though there is some of that. It is that I genuinely do not know what I would be putting myself forward for.
Twenty eight, the inner city, completely new. What brought me here was noticing the same thing in myself over several years and admitting that reading about it privately was never going to settle it. What has kept me here is that this board is more ordinary than I expected. People describe Tuesdays. People complain about parking.
What I want is conversation, and questions answered by somebody who has done this rather than read about it. I am not ready to agree to anything, and I would rather say so now than halfway through.
Not looking for anybody who wants to tell me what I am after four messages. Not looking to be somebody's first project. Not looking for a person who reads inexperience as an opening, which I have already learned to recognise from the shape of a first message.
