Three weeks on this app and I have not messaged one person

I open it, I read profiles, I put it down. Three weeks and I have not sent a single message, not because I am not interested but because I do not know what a first message is supposed to contain. Everyone else appears to have been born knowing. The people writing to me open with a question about something extremely specific and I do not have an answer ready, so I say nothing and then feel rude about it a day later.
Twenty six, no experience, I do lab work at a clinic, South Beach. I have known this was there since I was about twenty and I have done nothing about it in six years.
What I would like is somebody who is comfortable starting, who does not mind explaining, and who will not read my slowness as a game. I am not being coy. I am genuinely stuck at the first step and posting this is the boldest thing I have done so far.
I have no idea what I want yet, which I am told is normal and which does not feel normal at all. I know I am not looking for anything immediate. I would rather spend two months in conversation with one patient person than another three weeks reading and closing the app.
