We were in the kitchen and she said, quite calmly, that she thought I wanted something I was not asking for, and that she was not the person to give it to me, and that she would rather I found out properly than spent another decade being vaguely unhappy. I have never been so thoroughly seen in my life. That conversation was in January and the app has been on my phone since April.
Thirty eight, married eleven years, no experience of any of this at all. I work in commercial kitchens, Wynwood. My wife knows exactly what I am doing, has read this before it went up, and is not looking for anything herself.
What I am after first is people to talk to who know what they are doing. I do not know what I am, I have a rough idea of what interests me, and I would like to have several careful conversations before anything else at all happens.
I am not looking for anybody who wants to be a secret, because there are no secrets in this and there will not be. I am not looking to be somebody's first experiment either, given that I already am one. And if the arrangement at home is a problem for you, that is entirely reasonable and I would rather know now.
