People switch the app to this city a week before they land

Posted as visiting_week, 27 August 2026

Looking for
someone who lives here, in the boring literal sense
Experience
Seven years, one long dynamic, several very short ones.
Around
South Beach, Miami

There is a setting that lets you browse a city you are not in yet, and half my queue is people using it. They appear about a week before they fly down, they are charming, they are very clear about what they want, and they have a hotel booked and a return flight. I do not think any of them are doing anything wrong. I do think the app should say so on the card, because I have now had three conversations that were never going to be anything and only I did not know it.

Forty five, submissive, seven years in this, and after one dynamic that ran nearly three years I know exactly what I am missing. It is not an evening. It is the ordinary Wednesday.

So: I am looking for somebody local, ongoing, with rules that survive a working week. Service more than anything theatrical. I like being useful, I like being told the standard in advance, and I take correction well when it is about the thing rather than about me.

If you are here for four days, I hope you have a wonderful time and I am not the person for it. If you are here on a contract, be honest about the end date in the first message rather than the fifth. And if you have lived here more than two years and you are tired of exactly this, we should probably talk.
