I read everything at midnight and answer in the morning, and people hate it

Posted as read_eleven_forty, 9 September 2026

Looking for
someone who does not read a delay as a decision
Experience
Three years, one arrangement, ended over something stupid.
Around
Coral Gables, Miami

The little green dot has cost me more than anything I have ever actually said. I open the app in bed, I read what has arrived, I think about it, and I answer properly the next morning when I am a person again. The app dutifully reports that I was there, saw it, and left. Two people have told me flatly that they found this rude, and one of them was somebody I liked.

Thirty three, submissive, I work in a hospital lab, Coral Gables, three years in and one arrangement behind me that ended over a misunderstanding of roughly this shape.

I am putting it here so it is on the record before anything starts. I answer once or twice a day, at predictable times, and it is not a game and it is not a test of your patience. I would rather send you two thoughtful messages than fourteen fragments across an afternoon, and if that is a mismatch it is better found now.

What I want is a service dynamic with real structure and very little improvisation. Standing expectations, a check in I can hit at the same time each day, and correction that comes in words. I do not want anything that requires me to be reachable at any moment. I have a job where being reachable at any moment is already the job.
