Four hundred and nine matches, three actual conversations, nothing else
- Looking for
- one person who gets past the third message
- Experience
- Three years, mostly typing, one dynamic that lasted a summer.
- Around
- Brickell, Miami
I sat down last month and counted, because I wanted to know whether the feeling was real or whether I was being dramatic. Four hundred and nine matches over about two and a half years. Three of them turned into a conversation that went past the third message. One of those three turned into meeting a person. So the machinery works perfectly and produces almost nothing, and I would like to understand why before I put another year into it.
Thirty four, submissive, accounts work, Brickell, and I have thought about this more than is healthy. My best guess is that matching costs nobody anything, so it means nothing, and everybody has a list they are not reading.
What I am doing differently is this post. It is longer than a bio is allowed to be and it says the things a profile has no field for. I want an ongoing arrangement with rules in it. I want to be answerable to somebody on a regular basis rather than an exciting once. I am steady, I am organised, and I am genuinely easy to have around.
I do not want to be somebody's four hundred and tenth match. If you are collecting, keep going, no hard feelings. What I want is one person who will propose a day and a time within the first week, and then turn up on it.
