Fifty nine, and the app has decided who I should be shown to
- Looking for
- people the machinery has decided are not for me
- Experience
- Twelve years, two long arrangements, the second of them seven years.
- Around
- the south east, London
Something in this thing has made a decision about me. My queue is almost entirely men over seventy, and the few people I am shown who are anywhere near my own age turn out to have set their filters wide by accident. I have nothing at all against men in their seventies and I am aware of how this sounds. My point is narrower: nobody asked me, and the assumption is being made somewhere I cannot see or argue with.
Fifty nine, the south east, submissive, twelve years in, two arrangements with the second running seven years and ending when he became ill.
That is why I am writing a post rather than adjusting a setting. A post is read by whoever finds it rather than by whoever an algorithm thinks I deserve.
What I want is a structured arrangement with somebody in reasonable health who wants years rather than months. Standing expectations, a regular evening, protocol I find comfortable and which some people find old fashioned.
I am fit, I work three days a week, and I have no interest in being anybody's late life project. Not looking for anybody who wants a woman my age because he imagines it will be uncomplicated. Not looking to be taught anything. And not looking for somebody who will describe me as remarkable for my age, which has now happened enough times to be a filter of its own.
