Everyone I speak to is booked three weeks out, including me

Looking for
somebody willing to defend one repeating evening from everything else
Experience
Six years, one dynamic of two years, ended when she moved north.
Around
the south east, London

The most common sentence I read on here is a variation on being very busy at the moment. Mine says the same thing. Everybody in this city has a diary that is full three weeks ahead with things they have half agreed to, and the result is that a new arrangement gets slotted into whatever gap survives, which is always the worst hour of the worst day.

Thirty six, the south east, submissive, six years in, one arrangement of two years that ended when she took a job north.

The one that worked did so because we did something slightly unfashionable and put a repeating evening in the diary first, then arranged our lives around it. It was not romantic. It was a standing commitment defended fairly ruthlessly against other people's invitations, and it produced two of the best years I have had.

So that is what I am asking for. One evening a week, protected, for at least six months, with real structure in the days between: expectations, tasks, contact that is scheduled rather than spontaneous.

Not looking for somebody who will fit me in. Not looking for anybody who describes themselves as spontaneous, which in practice means unavailable. And not looking to rebuild the plan every week, because I have done that and it is a part time job that neither of us is paid for.
