The app lives on a second phone that stays in a drawer and gets picked up in the evening. That is the whole system. No renaming, no folders, no clever settings that a software update will quietly reverse.
I arrived at it after doing the clever version for two years and discovering that everything on my main phone also appeared on my watch, which I had forgotten was a thing that existed. Nothing came of it. It could have. Thirty eight, out towards Lanarkshire, switch, seven years in, two arrangements and one of them still running on one evening a fortnight.
What that means for you is that I answer in a batch, in the evening, properly, and not at all during the day. Several people have found that intolerable and said so, which is fair. It is not going to change, because the drawer is the reason I can be relaxed about the rest of it.
What I want is a second arrangement running the other way, with somebody who takes discretion as a practice rather than an insult.
Not looking for anybody who needs quick replies. Not looking to be added anywhere. Not looking for a person who thinks a second phone means somebody at home, because there is nobody.
