I verified myself in one country and had to do it again in this one
- Looking for
- somebody willing to be checked as thoroughly as they check me
- Experience
- Eight years, three arrangements, two of them abroad.
- Around
- the east, Amsterdam
I had the badge for four years. Then I moved here, the app decided I was a new account in a new place, and I lost it. So I did the whole thing again: the pose, the light, the wait, the automated refusal, the second attempt. It has since fallen off twice more when I changed my photographs.
Thirty nine, the east, submissive, eight years in. I am not complaining about being asked for proof. There are accounts on here that are not people, and the people who get hurt by that are overwhelmingly not men, and being asked costs me nothing. I have never once refused.
What I object to is the direction it runs. In eight years I have been asked to prove myself perhaps forty times and had proof offered to me unprompted three times. All three of those turned into something. One of them lasted two years.
So my terms are symmetrical and dull. A short video call, both cameras on, before anything else, and I will go first if that makes it easier. After that, coffee somewhere public in daylight, and as much boring conversation as you like.
Not looking for anybody who treats a check as an insult. Not looking to send photographs on demand. And not looking for a person whose entire profile is proof and who cannot answer a single question about their own week.
