Nine hours to answer, and on here that reads as indifference
- Looking for
- a standing evening on my off weeks and tasks in between
- Experience
- Eight years, one long arrangement, two short ones since.
- Around
- the east end, Toronto
My phone lives face down on the kitchen counter with every notification switched off. That is why I take nine hours to answer, and on an app nine hours reads as indifference. I have lost three conversations to it before the other person ever found out I was interested.
Forty seven, submissive, east end, two children with me every other week. On my weeks the phone stays on the counter, because the alternative is a screen lighting up at the dinner table with a message from a stranger about something nobody in my house knows about me.
Eight years in. One long arrangement that ended when she moved back east, two short ones since that I would describe as adequate.
What I want has a fixed shape. A standing evening on my off weeks. Tasks in between, which suit me, because I do far better with a list than with a feeling. And a dominant who does not read a slow reply as slow interest, since those are entirely different measurements and the app cannot tell them apart.
I am not available on demand and I never will be. I will not be discussing my children with anybody or introducing anybody to them. And I would rather skip the first month being quietly assessed on how fast I answer, because that test measures whether I am holding my phone, which is not a virtue and never was.
