My account was restricted for eleven days and nobody would say why
- Looking for
- a submissive who understands that this whole thing runs on somebody else's rules
- Experience
- Nine years, two dynamics, one still running as a friendship.
- Around
- the inner west, Sydney
In April my account went read only for eleven days. No explanation, no specific message, just a banner and a form that produced an automated reply twice. My best guess is that somebody reported me after I declined them, which I did in one polite sentence, because I have learned that a polite sentence is more offensive to some people than silence.
It cost me two conversations that were going well and it changed how I think about all of this. Everything on here sits inside a company's product. The account is not mine, the conversations are not mine, and any of it can vanish on a Tuesday because a stranger tapped a button. I now assume that as a baseline rather than resenting it.
Forty, the inner west, dominant, nine years in. Two dynamics, one of which is now a long friendship and the other ended when she moved back overseas.
Practically, that means I move things to a face to face conversation early, I keep nothing important in a chat window, and I do not build months of correspondence on a foundation that a moderation queue can delete.
What I want is a structured, ongoing arrangement with somebody who has time for it. Not looking for anybody who needs six months of typing first. Not looking for a person who reads caution as coldness. And not looking to explain, again, that declining somebody clearly is the kinder version.
