There is a field on my profile that wants a single word and I have changed it four times this year. When it says one thing, one crowd writes to me. When it says the other, a completely different crowd does, and neither will believe the other half exists. Nobody reads far enough down to find the sentence explaining it, because nobody reads that far down, which is why I am writing this instead.
Thirty, switch, I do lighting for events, South Beach, five years in this and genuinely both directions rather than one with a hobby.
The version that works for me is a dynamic that can move. Not hour by hour, but over weeks, by agreement, with both of us knowing which way round we are at any given time. I have had that once, with somebody who left the country, and it was the best year I have had.
What does not work is somebody who agrees to it and then treats the reversal as an indulgence to be endured quarterly. I would honestly rather you told me at the start that you only go one way, because that is a real answer and I can respect it. What I cannot do again is a year of gentle disappointment on both sides while we both pretend the arrangement is balanced.
