My bio is far too long and I am keeping it that way deliberately

Everybody tells me to cut it. A bio should be three lines and a joke, apparently, and mine runs to several hundred words and reads like a job description. I have been told it is intimidating, that nobody reads it, and that I am filtering out perfectly good people. All of that is probably true and I am not changing a word, because the fifteen or so people who have written to me having actually read it were, without exception, worth the conversation.
Forty nine, dominant, I do project work in construction, north of the city, eleven years in this. Two arrangements, four years and six years, both ended for ordinary reasons and both ended well.
The long version exists because what I run is detailed and I would rather you know before you invest anything. Expectations in writing, a review every few months, a standing evening, and a real say for you in all of it. It is closer to an agreement between adults than anything performed.
I am not looking for anybody who wants to be surprised. I am not looking for somebody who describes themselves entirely in adjectives. And I am not looking for the person who has read three paragraphs and skipped to asking when we can meet, because that is the same person who will skip the rest of it too.
