The default age range on this app stops a long way below me, and almost nobody changes a default. So a substantial part of this city has never seen my profile and never will, not because they decided against me but because a slider was already set when they arrived.
I do not think that is anybody's fault and I am not asking for sympathy about it. I am explaining why I am writing a post rather than swiping, and why the men and women I have actually met in the last five years all found me by reading something.
Sixty three, the city centre, dominant, twenty eight years in, three dynamics and the longest of them nineteen years, which ended when she died six years ago. I am past that in whatever way anybody is ever past it.
What I run is patient and structured. Expectations agreed properly, a weekly rhythm, correction that is specific and calm. I have never once raised my voice inside a dynamic.
I am fit, busy, and not lonely in the way people assume a man my age must be. I miss a particular thing rather than company.
Not looking for anybody who finds my age remarkable and says so. Not looking to be a late life adventure. Not looking for a person who is here to be impressed.
