I cannot yet tell a serious post from a well written one

Everybody sounds credible to me. That is the honest position I am in after six months. I read a long careful post and I believe it. I read a short blunt one and I believe that too. I have no idea which of the people writing to me have done this for fifteen years and which of them read the same board I did last month and are performing it back at me, and twice I have got quite far into a conversation before working out it was the second thing.
Twenty nine, the South Bay, no experience at all.
What I have worked out is that I am not going to develop that judgement by being careful on my own. So I am asking for something slightly unusual: somebody experienced, patient, who is willing to be extremely plain with me about how this actually works, including the parts that are unglamorous.
What I think I want is structure and being answerable to somebody. That is as far as I have got.
Not looking for anybody who wants to make the most of the fact that I cannot tell. Not looking for a fast start. And if you are also new, I would honestly rather talk to you than to somebody with an answer for everything, which I did not expect to be true when I started writing this.
