The size of this city is meant to be the advantage and in practice it is mostly noise. I can scroll for an hour and never reach the end. Of the last forty people I spoke to, four could offer a repeating weekday evening, and two of those changed their minds when it turned out to mean the same evening in October as in June. Depth of queue is not the same as availability and the app cannot show you the difference.
Forty four, the west, dominant, nine years in, two arrangements both of which lived on one fixed evening a week.
So this post is a filter for the one thing I actually need. Not compatibility, not experience, not any particular interest. One evening, the same one, that you can protect for six months, and the willingness to say so before we have got attached to each other.
Everything else I am flexible about. I will teach, I will travel some of the time, I am content to go slowly, and I am happy with somebody who has never done any of this.
Not looking for anyone whose diary is decided a week at a time. Not looking for a person who has to check with three other commitments before answering. And not looking for the version of this that happens when both of us are free, because in this city that is never.
