My profile is four lines and that is the entire filter
- Looking for
- somebody who writes to a short profile with a long message
- Experience
- Fifteen years, four dynamics, three of them long.
- Around
- Kreuzberg, Berlin
Four lines. What I am, what I run, what I will not do, and that I answer people who write properly. That is all of it. I have watched people fill three screens with careful self description and get the same volume of nothing that I get, and I decided some years ago that if the profile is going to be ignored either way it may as well be short.
Forty seven, Kreuzberg, dominant, fifteen years in, four arrangements with the longest at eight years.
What it does is invert the work. A person writing to four lines has to bring something of their own, because there is nothing to react to and no easy comment to make about a photograph. Roughly one message in twenty does that, and those are the only ones I have ever wanted to answer.
What I run is a weekly structured arrangement. Expectations agreed and written down, tasks between times, correction that is verbal, a review every few months.
Not looking for anybody who needs to be drawn out. Not looking for somebody who opens by asking me to describe myself, since the four lines are the description. And not looking for a person who wants to be told what to want, which is a request I get regularly and have never once been able to fulfil.
