The same forty people come round every three weeks and I know all their bios
- Looking for
- somebody who has just arrived, or somebody I misjudged the first time
- Experience
- Three years, two short arrangements.
- Around
- the city centre, Manchester
The queue here recycles on about a three week loop. I know it because I know the bios. I can tell you which profiles have changed their photographs this year, who has quietly dropped a paragraph, and who has been saying they are new to this for eighteen months.
That does something to a board that nobody talks about. You stop reading and start recognising. A profile you have skipped four times stops being a person and becomes an item you have already dealt with, and by month six you are making decisions about human beings on the basis of a decision you made in February while half asleep.
Twenty nine, the city centre, submissive, three years in.
So this post is aimed at two people. Somebody who has moved here recently and has not yet worked out how small the pool is. Or somebody I have skipped past who thinks I read them wrong and is prepared to say so, which has happened once and turned into the best four months I have had.
What I want is a weekly arrangement with a proper shape. Standing rules, reporting, a review every few months.
Not looking for an evening. Not looking to be told the pool is bigger than I think, because I have been round it enough times to know exactly how big it is.
