The worst feature on this app is the small word that appears under a message once it has been read. Before that existed, a silence could be anything. A busy week, a flat battery, a person who meant to answer and forgot. Now it is a timestamp, and you know exactly when somebody opened four paragraphs you had spent an evening on and decided to do nothing.
I turned mine off for a while, which also hides everybody else's from me, and honestly that was better. I turned it back on because it felt like hiding, and I have regretted that about once a fortnight since.

None of this is a complaint about being rejected. Being rejected is fine and I have done plenty of it myself. It is that the app has industrialised the specific experience of watching somebody decide against you in real time, and then charges people for a version with more of it.
What I want is a dominant who answers or says no, in words, either being infinitely better. Standing expectations, a fixed evening, correction spoken at the time. Not looking for anybody who leaves things open. Not looking to be somebody's maybe.
