What I want is completely ordinary and that is why nobody reads it

Posted as nothing_unusual, 1 September 2026

Looking for
somebody who finds an ordinary arrangement worth crossing a city for
Experience
Eleven years, three dynamics, all of them entirely unremarkable and good.
Around
Friedrichshain, Berlin

A weekly evening. Obligations through the week. Somebody who notices and says something when I have not done what I said. Correction that is spoken. That is the whole of my interest and it has been for eleven years, and on an app where every second profile is a carefully assembled list of unusual specifics, mine reads as a person who has not thought about it.

Forty five, Friedrichshain, switch, eleven years in, three arrangements and all of them quiet.

What I have noticed is that this place rewards being distinctive rather than being clear, because distinctive is what gets read in a queue. So people describe the most unusual thing they want rather than the most important, and then everybody is surprised when the arrangement turns out to be made of the ordinary parts anyway.

I lead about half the time. I am equally serious in both directions and I have been doing both long enough to be reliable about it.

Not looking for anybody who needs a striking specification to be interested. Not looking to make my profile more memorable. And not looking for a person whose enthusiasm depends on novelty, since after the first two months there will be very little of that.

What to have sorted before you reply

Which direction is on the table this month is not in the post, and asking flat out reads badly. That takes a conversation, and a conversation needs a room you can walk out of.
