Most of what I run happens in writing, and I am not apologetic
- Looking for
- somebody whose life suits a structure that lives mostly in text
- Experience
- Eleven years, three dynamics, two of them largely conducted in writing.
- Around
- Kreuzberg, Berlin
We would see each other perhaps twice a month. The rest of it happens in writing: obligations set on a Sunday, reporting each evening, a longer exchange in the middle of the week where I actually respond to what you have written rather than acknowledging it. That is not a compromise forced on me by circumstances. It is the shape I have found works best, and the two arrangements I ran that way lasted longer than the one that did not.
Forty six, Kreuzberg, dominant, eleven years in.
I know that this board is full of warnings about things that never leave a chat window, and they are mostly right. The difference is that this is not a correspondence, it is a structure that happens to be delivered in text, and we would meet properly and regularly from the start.
What I want is somebody whose week is genuinely suited to it: shift work, travel, a demanding job, a household that is not going to be free on a Thursday.
Not looking for anybody who needs presence to feel it is real. Not looking for a person who will find the writing a chore by month two. And not looking for somebody who is hoping that meeting rarely means very little is being asked, because the opposite is true.
