I moved here at fifty and rebuilt everything, including this
- Looking for
- somebody unhurried, local, and content with a late beginner
- Experience
- Two years, one short dynamic, and thirty years of knowing.
- Around
- the west of the city, Berlin
I came here at fifty for work, alone, knowing nobody, after a marriage that lasted twenty four years and a life in which I never once said any of this out loud. The city was the right decision. Everything else has been slower.
Fifty three, the west of the city, submissive, two years in with one short arrangement behind me.
The app has been the whole of my education. I read for a year before I wrote to anybody, I have had perhaps eight real conversations and one arrangement that lasted three months and taught me a great deal, mostly about how little I knew.
What I want is structure and authority in ordinary matters. Rules about how my week runs. Somebody who checks and who tells me plainly when something was not good enough. Nothing that requires me to be anybody other than a reasonably serious woman in her fifties.
I am not fragile, I am not sad, and I am not looking for a companion in the general sense. I have friends now, which took two years and was harder than any of this.
Not looking for anybody who finds a beginner at my age either touching or amusing. Not looking for anything at a distance. And not looking to be rushed, because I have waited three decades and a few months of talking will not trouble me.
