Third sublet in two years, so the answer to that question is still no

Looking for
somebody with their own front door, or the patience to work around it
Experience
Four years, one arrangement of eighteen months.
Around
Noord, Amsterdam

Third sublet in two years. The current one runs until spring and after that I genuinely do not know. So no, I cannot host, and I have stopped saying it apologetically, because in this city it describes half the board and everybody keeps pretending it is an unusual admission.

What it actually changes is not whether anything can happen. It is what a dynamic has to be built out of. Mine has to live in habits, in things I do daily, in reporting and being held to a standard, rather than in a room set aside for it. My one long arrangement worked exactly like that for eighteen months and we were in the same room perhaps twice a month.

Twenty nine, Noord, switch, four years in, and I have moved twice in that time without either arrangement noticing, because neither of them depended on where I slept.

I go both ways and I want an arrangement that eventually does too, which is harder to build without a private space and not impossible. It requires planning rather than spontaneity, and it requires both of us to stop treating logistics as the unromantic bit that gets sorted later.

Not looking for anybody who thinks the housing question is a detail. Not looking to be somebody's guest in a way that makes me a guest in the dynamic too. Not looking for a person who wants to improvise everything.

What to have sorted before you reply

Which direction is on the table this month is not in the post, and asking flat out reads badly. That takes a conversation, and a conversation needs a room you can walk out of.
